The the purple of the stems, blossoms, and pods, complimented by the deep green leaves, with tinges of purple along the edges and veins, make this plant a joy to behold….. And eat! They taste delicious eaten fresh and will turn a jade-green color when cooked. Nearly stringless and will tolerate early, cool plantings. The seeds are very lightly purple. An all around stunner. Seeds grown at Flytree Farm in Northfield, VT, and seed stock came from John Austin.

Seed came from John Austin. Territorial : Everything about this bean is noteworthy: healthy, robust plants, deep violet stems, lilac blossoms, and lustrous purple pods. The 5 inch, flat pods are irresistible picked fresh from the plant. Turns brilliant jade-green when cooked with a nearly stringless texture. Plants reach 24 inches tall and tolerate cool, early plantings. Creamy/light purple seeds; 60 per ounce
