Irish Green Pea is a shelling pea that was repatriated to the Irish Seed Savers exchange by the Vavilov Gene Bank in Russia. The plants grow swiftly and tall and produce tender sweet round peas. This variety has good mildew resistance and the pods hold up to wet weather very well compared to other peas. Seed stock came from the Irish Seeds Savers Association.
