Green egg yolk is an incredibly flavorful cherry tomato. They have a full bodied flavor of some of the best full-size heirloom tomatoes in a beautiful emerald green package. Their flavor is best described as sweet, spicy and full bodied. Their vibrant green color will stand out in any dish you include them in. Seed stock shared by our friends Evan and Heidi at Small Axe Farm who have been saving this variety, along with their friend Annette, for many years. It came from the Fedco catalog probably somewhere between 2008 and 2012, but aren’t sure whether it was listed as green egg yolk or whether it was a sport of regular egg yolk tomato that they just kept saving seeds from. Either way, we love this tomato!
